What a great day!

We were there! We were proud to walk with people of all persuasions and deliver the message of inclusivity! For photos of our participation… PS try the slideshow option! Thank you to Melissa, the two Franceses and Penney for their photos! Happy Pride!

Kudos to the Klezbians for keeping us groovy

Sunday, July 9

Congregation Emanu-El, accompanied again by the band, the Klezbians, took part in this year’s Victoria Pride Parade on Sunday, July 9. Along the way, led by Rabbi Harry, synagogue members and parade observers danced the hora to the music of the Klezbians.

Participants and spectators of all ages from diverse cultural and ethnic backgrounds, variously festooned for the occasion, were on hand. Some dogs, having learned of the event from the Pole News, showed up dressed for the parade! More than 100 floats and community ensembles filled Government Street with colour, music and good feelings.
