The entries were judged anonymously. Five judges had the arduous, yet enviable, task of selecting a winning image. What actually happened: four judges tied two photos (by the same photographer) for first place, and one judge–the outlier–chose what has become our honourable mention. Both photographers will receive their just desserts. Many thanks to our esteemed judges: Nadin Boeno, Graham Dragushan, Rick Kool, Tillie Stanger-Ross, Julie Whittrock.
THE WINNERS: 2 arboreal and sunny pictures–#86 and #89–both by Lisa Tyler.
HONOURABLE MENTION: a dreamy image of an adventurous duck–#40– by Kis Brink
The names of all the photographers are now attached to their images on the Kudoboard.
We would LOVE to read your responses to the contest and the images. Feel free to post comments on the Kudoboard or write to: firstname.lastname@example.org
And if you have a new idea you think our community-at-large could undertake, please inform us.
To healthy trees and ducks, and a vibrant community, Dahlia Beck
After 4 months, and (at the time of publication) 137 photos by 27 photographers, this iconic contest has ended. The photographers have made the process of selecting the winner a formidable task for our 5 conscientious judges. Much gratitude to the dynamic and perceptive photographers and the swamped judges.
The winning photo will be announced, fittingly, just before Shavuot, the feast of revelation: June 3, 2022.
