Calling all Millennials, Gen Z’s, and Anyone Else Who is Good with Technology

online communicationWe are looking for people to help train our community members with technology. Can you use Zoom? We’d love to have you do an online tutorial for us! Is FaceTime, Whatsapp, or Skype second nature? Please let us know and we can link you up with someone who could use some guidance. It would be a huge mitzvah to help our congregation to stay connected!

Please contact info@congregationemanuel.ca and let them know you’re interested in helping out.

Drop in for a virtual ‘Emanu-El Living-Room Chat’

Screen Shot 2020-03-17 at 9.42.11 AM 1000Tuesday, Mar 24, 9:30-11 am — Following up on last week’s success, we will once again create a virtual gathering place for members of Congregation Emanu-El (up to 100 can partipate at a time) with Rabbi Matt as host. You can connect by phone or video-call. (A video connection requires you to have a free ZOOM account). Our hope is to create a Jewish place for members who are feeling isolated or want to be in contact during this pandemic. All members are welcome (up to 100 participants) and there will be (technologically limited) opportunities to contribute and be heard.
If you have not used ZOOM before, please call in or log-in 10 minutes before it starts, in case you have issues. If it is your first time using it online, the link below will guide you through downloading and signing up to the “app” and then take you into the meeting.

New: Upload page for news or classified ads

image

Hard on the heels of the new Congregation Emanu-El Classifieds Page (password: 1461Blanshard) launched last week, we are now offering a special Congregation Emanu-El Upload page, where you can send us text and images for news items or classified ads (just mark as applicable). Note that we prefer text and images, rather than PDFs, as we cannot publish the PDFs as they are. Thank you.
