The Klez is delighted to be playing in the Victoria’s marvellous Butchart Gardens this summer. We will be taking the main stage in the big grassy field on Sunday, July 19th at 8 pm. We hope to see you there.
If you are not familiar with Butchart Gardens summer programs, may we recommend the season pass. That gets you into Butcharts all year round, and into music every single night of the summer. Come for dinner in one of the lovely restaurants. Pack a picnic, arrive early, stake out your seats, eat your meal, stroll through the lush gardens and then return and enjoy the music.
Enjoy a medley of toe tapping, wildly rhythmical klezmer music, lovely Sephardic ballads, and traditional Hebrew, Yiddish and Ladino folk songs, performed by the Victoria quintet The Klez. Desserts, coffee and tea will be served. Suggested donation of $10 for non-members. Everyone is welcome.
When: Sunday, February 22nd at 7:30 pm
Where: Jewish Community Centre Of Victoria, 3636 Shelbourne Street
This event is supported in part by a community agency grant from the Jewish Federation of Victoria & Vancouver Island.

Profeti Della Quinta—a group from Israel—presents a program of Italian madrigals and Hebrew prayers by Salomone Rossi on Saturday, February 1, 2014, Alix Goolden Hall, 8:00 pm. This concert is sponsored by Early Music Society of the Islands. Tickets are $27 for adults, $24 for students/seniors available from Ivy’s Bookshop, Munro’s Books and Long & McQuade.
