Come and Share Your Opinions with us at the Max Gross Jewish Discussion Group in the Jewish Community Centre, 3636 Shelbourne St. We meet on the 2nd and 4th Sundays of each month from 10:30 to 12 noon. Our new season begins on September 23 when we will discuss Is the “Nation State Law” consistent with a democratic Israel?
Four sessions from January 14 to April 8 — All are welcome for four fun evenings of Israeli Dancing at the Jewish Community Centre of Victoria (3636 Shelbourne St.) with instructor Etz Greenfeld.
Etz is an undergraduate student in Environmental Studies at UVic. She grew up in Vancouver and learned much of the rikudei’am she knows from Camp Miriam and Or Chadesh. She spent nine months in Israel between high school and university working with the youth movement Habonim Dror and their sister movement Hanoar Haoved. She loves dancing and can’t wait to get started again here at the JCC in Victoria!

Fee for all 4 sessions: $25 for JCCV members and students, $35 for non-members
Advanced registration for the 4-session program is required. Maximum of 15 participants. This is not a drop-in program.

Enjoy a medley of toe tapping, wildly rhythmical klezmer music, lovely Sephardic ballads, and traditional Hebrew, Yiddish and Ladino folk songs, performed by the Victoria quintet The Klez. Desserts, coffee and tea will be served. Suggested donation of $10 for non-members. Everyone is welcome.
