Hillel BC is looking for an individual based in Victoria, to work with us in supporting Jewish students and staff at the University of Victoria. The position involves implementing programs, connecting with students, and creating a warm and welcoming environment for Jewish students throughout campus and at the Hillel House, based near the campus. The individual will work as part of the Hillel BC team.
Thursday, November 28, 2019, 6 pm — The UVic Jewish students together with other cultural groups on campus will hold a Festival of Lights Dinner on Thursday, November 28, 2019, 6 pm at which they will share experiences and customs of light festivals in support of diversity and respect of the other. February 2 from 6:30 to 9:30 pm — Please join us for a delicious Greek Shabbat dinner at the Hillel house on Friday, February 2 from 6:30 to 9:30 pm. There will be delicious food, amazing students and live Greek music provided by our local Kouskous duo.

Thursday, December 7 — Join the UVIC Jewish chaplains, Hillel BC and University food services on Thursday, December 7 — 3:30 – 5:00 pm at University Centre in the Mystic Market for an early celebration of Hanukkah!
Following the ceremony enjoy live music by Kouskus and traditional Jewish food including potato latkes, jelly doughnuts and other treats.

Join us as we light the Second Candle of the 2nd Annual Hanukkah Celebration on campus in Mystic Market The Jewish Holiday of Lights gets underway with a customary lighting of the Menorah. Following the ceremony, enjoy accompanying music along with traditional Jewish foods, including potato latkes, jelly doughnuts & more. All in a fun and festive setting. New this year, Hanukkah treats will be prepared daily throughout the holiday in Mystic Market too!
