Women in Politics Mentorship Program

The Women in Politics Mentorship Program is intended to:

  • Provide mentees with access to the knowledge and networks of their mentors.
  • Create networking opportunities for women interested in engaging with Canada’s political process.
  • Provide mentors with an opportunity to help to shape the next generation of Canadian political leaders by sharing their insight and experience.

The program includes:

  • One-on-one meetings between mentor/mentee several times each year.
  • A virtual orientation event/orientation and closing ceremony with all mentors and mentees.
  • 2-3 other group events; past events have included:
  • A panel event with political guest speakers
  • A personal branding workshop
  • Dinner with the Israeli Consul General
  • Visits to legislatures

Due to COVID-19 we will be running our national meetings and programming virtually. Mentee/mentor pairings are welcome to have 1:1 in-person meetings based on participants’ comfort levels and regional public health orders.

We are actively recruiting both mentees and mentors. The application deadline is February 11, 2022. For more information on the program and to apply please visit www.cjpac.ca/wip or contact nfarage@cjpac.ca
