Exploring the Mixed Media Landscapes of a Jewish Artist

JAnis and little janis

Sunday, April 7, 11 am to 12:30 pm at Jewish Community Centre — The Kolot Mayim lecture series at the Jewish Community Centre continues on Sunday, April 7 when Janis Diner Brinley will be leading a discussion on “Exploring the Mixed Media Landscapes of a Jewish Artist.”
Janis Diner Brinley is a Jewish artist.  Does that mean she does Jewish art? Janis will discuss the art she creates; what influences the places and spaces she calls her mixed media landscapes? Janis has been creating art since she was seven years old. Her subjects reflect global warming and deconstructions within the landscape that are either man-made or naturally occurring. And yes, at times Jewish themes.
