The Victoria Foundation has just offered us a time-limited opportunity to receive a matching grant of $2500. If the Foundation receives a donation earmarked for the Congregation Emanu-El Legacy Fund within the next week, our Legacy Fund will grow by $5000. If you are willing to step up, please notify Rabbi Brechner as soon as possible.
Donations may be hand-delivered to the Victoria Foundation at #200 – 703 Broughton Street, or made online at http://www.victoriafoundation.bc.ca. Please specify that your contribution is for the Congregation Emanu-El Legacy Fund. You may also call the Victoria Foundation office at 250.381.5532 to make a donation by credit card. Your donation will be added to the Congregation Emanu-El Legacy Fund and a tax receipt will be issued to you by the Victoria Foundation.
Congregation Emanu-El has an endowment fund with the Victoria Foundation known as the Congregation Emanu-El Legacy Fund. Its purpose is to ensure our sustainability into the future by:
* maintaining a House of Worship and conducting religious services
* providing instruction for the young
* maintaining and operating a cemetery
* promoting such cultural, educational, social and youth activities as desired by members of the Congregation.
The Victoria Foundation assists charitable organizations, like ours, to build endowments that provide a steady stream of secure funding into the future – funding to support on-going operations, programs and special programs.
