Thank you once again to everyone who brought items to RaeAnn and Rabbi Harry’s Sukkah for Project Connect. We were touched by people’s generosity.
Perhaps it seems that we are always asking for contributions, however, with the cold weather descending, life becomes more difficult for people in need. We would like to remind people that there is an Avodah box at the synagogue where people can contribute items any time the shul is open. This box is located between the shul kitchen and the sanctuary doors.
Our contributions do make a difference: it would be wonderful if together we could fill the Tzdakah box with items to share with our Victoria friends in need. Members of Avodah will make certain that these items are distributed where they are most needed.
We have had a special request for WASHABLE blankets.
Here is a list from Our Place of some items that would be particularly welcome:
Socks & underwear/ gloves & scarves/thermal underwear/warm jackets/sleeping bags/ tents/ backpacks/ Toiletries (razors/deodorant/feminine products/tooth brushes & tooth paste.
