Solidarity and Pride



Dear Ones,

My sense is that we are all reeling somewhat from the news in the
world around us. When I offer support to a family in the congregation that is
dealing with tragedy, I need to remember that although it is not my personal
tragedy, it still has a profound effect on me that I need to process and clear.
I know that the news in the past two weeks—from Tel Aviv to Orlando—affects us,
as well. We all need to process and clear. One of the venues where we process
is through social media—although I am not convinced that Facebook is the best
route to healing. My hope is that by talking to friends and loved ones, we can
all process together and feel re-grounded. For me a lot of that happens in shul
